My program includes a mix of live instruments and some pre-recorded music for movement activities, around 40 minutes, depending on the children’s attention span. I bring colorful scarves for dancing and maracas for everyone to play. An energetic and interactive bilingual show for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. The show consists of several parts: Storytelling, live instruments, dancing, props, and maracas for the kids to play with so they can be part of the show! As for the songs, families don’t need to be Spanish speakers. The program features traditional songs, stories, and rhymes in the style of Raffi, Ella Jenkins, and Mother Goose Club—plus a few translated into Spanish with the support of visuals and movement, specially designed for the preschool stage. The songs are simple, rhythmic, and repetitive, encouraging participation and joy through music and motion. It’s filled with rhythms and multicultural sounds along with the Bay Area's rich traditions.
An open space that allows room for movement without bumping into others, along with some shade, is very important for everyone’s comfort and safety.
Prepare the space. When organizing a toddler's birthday party at the park or on your patio, some considerations can enhance the overall experience. First, select a shaded area to protect children from excessive heat, which can lead to fatigue. Additionally, it is prudent to have a contingency plan in place for unforeseen Bay Area weather changes to ensure the event proceeds smoothly. When sessions take place in a park or grassy area, families often bring blankets to place on the ground to keep moisture away. Ensure there is enough space for the children to engage in dancing and activities with the performer.
Also, don't forget to consider their nap times! By scheduling the celebration when most children are awake, you'll create a fun and lively atmosphere and a memorable experience for all your guests!
